JUDGMENT

2.The writ petitioner wants to be accommodated as a member of the college committee as per Rule 8 of Tamil Nadu Private College (Regulations) Rules, 1976. His case is that he is the senior most member 2/6

of the teaching faculty. Finding merit in the said contention, W.P.(MD)No.20237 of 2023 was allowed by the learned Single Judge vide order dated 10.11.2023. Aggrieved by the same, the management has filed this writ appeal.

3.The case of the management is that the writ petitioner is a Malayalam professor and that the department of Malayalam itself has been closed and that he has also been relieved from service consequent to his redeployment. Since as on date, the writ petitioner is not working in the appellant college, the order passed by the learned Single Judge cannot be given effect to. However, as and when the writ petitioner is able to repatriate to the appellant college, the order now impugned in this writ appeal will spring back to life.

4.With the above observation, this writ appeal is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. (G.R.S. J.,) & (K.R.S. J.,) 08.07.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No ias 3/6
