PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders on petitioner`s representation dated 08.07.2025 and 11.07.2025 by conducting survey in land situated in S.No.2470/1B1, Ward No.10, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai and to subdivide the remaining part of land measuring an extent of 2553 sq.ft. and to grant patta.

ORDER
By relying on registered sale deed dated 07.05.1979 and the TSLR extract mentioning the name of the petitioner's father Sonai Muthu, the petitioner applied for survey and issuance of patta. 2.Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's father sold portions of the land purchased by him in 1979 under 3 sale deeds. He seeks a survey and issuance of patta for the remaining extent retained by his father. 3.Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that petitioner's request would be considered and disposed of on merits.
4.Because the petitioner's father sold 3 portions of the land acquired by him, it is necessary to issue notice to the purchasers of those 3 portions. In addition, it is also necessary to issue notice to the other legal heirs of Sonai Muthu, whose names are mentioned in the legal heirship certificate. 2/4
5.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 4th respondent to consider the petitioners' request for survey and issuance of patta after issuing notice to the persons mentioned in the previous paragraph and to owners of adjoining lands. It is needless to say that objections, if any, from such persons should be considered before an order is issued. The entire process shall be concluded within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
