ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to issue a passport to the petitioner based on his passport application in File No. MD1075505616325 dated 18.08.2025, within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

2. It appears that the petitioner has challenged the show cause notice dated 02.09.2025, by which he was called upon to submit his explanation. However, without submitting such explanation, the petitioner has rushed to this Court. In the said show cause notice, the first respondent has required the petitioner to offer his explanation with reference to the adverse police verification report received by them.

3. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit his explanation to the show cause notice within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the explanation, the first respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
