O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.] The petitioner has filed this habeas corpus petition seeking a direction to the respondents to secure her husband, namely, Mathiyalagan, aged about 29 years, produce him before this Court and set him at liberty.
2. On 24.06.2024, when the matter came up for hearing, the respondent - Police produced the alleged missing person before this Court. On enquiry, he submitted that due to misunderstanding, he left his wife, the petitioner herein and gone to New Delhi along with his friend Durga and he is living with her in New Delhi and he has no objection in his parents settling his share of the property in favour of the petitioner herein and her child and he requested to refer the matter to the Mediation Centre for amicable settlement. Accordingly, the matter was referred to the Mediation Centre.
3. Today, it is reported that pursuant to the settlement arrived at between the parties in the Mediation Centre, a Settlement Deed, dated dated 16.07.2024, has been executed by the father of the alleged missing person in favour of the minor daughter of the petitioner herein the said Settlement Deed
has been registered as document No.1706 of 2024, on the file of the SubRegistrar's Office at Uppiliyapuram.
4. In view of the above submission, no further adjudication is required in this habeas corpus petition and the same is, therefore, closed. [A.D.J.C., J.] [K.R.S., J.] 18.07.2024 NCC :
