ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a son of a Driver of the respondent Transport Corporation who died in harness, seeking a 1/4

Mandamus for compassionate appointment.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, his father who was working as a Driver in the respondent Corporation had passed away on 18.06.2021 and he had sought for compassionate appointment. Since driver and conductor vacancies are alone available, the petitioner has also undergone conductor training and he has obtained a license on 08.07.2016.

3. In view of the above said facts, the respondent authority is directed to consider the request of the petitioner for compassionate appointment as a Conductor in the order of seniority and pass orders as and when he reaches the seniority.

4. With the said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 22.12.2023 NCC :
