Respondents Prayer :- This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent No.1 and 2 to grant ordinary leave for the period of 40 days without escort to the petitioner's husband namely Balamurugan, CP.No.4849, who is 5 years convict prisoner in a rape case and languishing in Palayamkottai Central Jail for the period of above 2 years by considering the petitioners representation dated on 02.12.2023. 1/3
