2. The petitioner's husband had passed away way back on 12.02.2021. Widow certificate has been enclosed in the typed set of papers. The petitioner is having a daughter by name Ramya Muthulakshmi. She has to be given in marriage. The petitioner applied under E.V.R.Maniamaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for daughters of poor widows in Tamil Nadu. The petitioner's request was rejected by a non-speaking order. Challenging the same, the present writ petition came to be filed.

3. The second respondent is directed to revisit the issue. On going through the materials enclosed in the typed set of papers, I am satisfied that the petitioner fulfils all the relevant criteria. Her annual income is Rs.72,000/-. If unless the second respondent is able to notice any other insurmountable impediment, financial assistance of the aforesaid scheme shall be provided to the petitioner. The impugned rejection order is set aside. This writ petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
