This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 3 to conduct survey and demarcate four boundaries in respect of the property comprised in S.No. 55/1A2A and 55/1A1 situated at Ooranipuram Revenue Village, Thiruvonam Taluk, Thanjavur District with the aid of the respondents 2 and 4 and direct the respondents 1 and 3 to issue survey report on the basis of the application dated 24.07.2024 and 26.07.2024. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that an online application dated 26.07.2024 was made seeking survey and demarcation of the boundaries of the property in question. Since no action has been taken by the respondents 1 and 3, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 submits that after issuing notice to the adjacent land owners, appropriate steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

5. In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2024 for survey and demarcation on merits and in accordance with law. Notice shall be issued to the petitioner, respondents 5 to 8 and the owners of relevant adjacent lands and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act 1923, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. the event of any rival claims, the same can be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs.
