ORDER : The Court made the following order :- 1/4

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 69 of BNSS, 2023 in Crime No.7 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner herein had sexual intercourse with the defacto complainant on the promise of marriage, and subsequently she became pregnant, which was later aborted. Hence, the present complaint.

3. This Court granted an interim order directing the petitioner and the defacto complainant to appear before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Court. It is reported that the mediation failed. Thereafter, this Court directed both the petitioner and the defacto complainant to appear before this Court to ascertain whether the parties are willing to marry. The defacto complainant expressed her willingness to marry the petitioner, but the petitioner refused. It is also submitted that the petitioner prevented the defacto complainant and caused the abortion 2/4

by giving some tablets.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and in view of the serious nature of the allegations made against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. (S S Y J) 27.11.2025 TRP TO
