ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by the wife of a deceased Government employee seeking a Mandamus to regularize the period of suspension of her husband.

2. The petitioner's husband was working as an Executive Officer in a Town Panchayat and he was placed under suspension. The petitioner's husband was permitted to retire on 31.07.2011. However, the period of suspension was not regularized. The 2nd respondent herein has addressed a communication to the 1st respondent on 08.01.2019 to regularize the period of suspension and to release the terminal benefits. The petitioner herein has also addressed a communication to the 1st respondent herein on the same request on 26.07.2023. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the file forwarded by the 2nd respondent on 08.01.2019 and pass orders on merits and 2/4

in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
