ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the second respondent not to interfere in the civil dispute and not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instruction, would submit that pursuant to the complaint lodged by the third respondent, an enquiry was conducted by the second respondent; that the same was transferred to the Inspector of Police, Pattiveeranpatti Police Station, Dindigul District and that enquiry is pending.

3. It is needless to say that the police cannot interfere in a civil dispute. However, there shall be a direction to the Inspector of Police, Pattiveeranpatti Police Station, Dindigul District, to complete the above said enquiry within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the result of the same to the petitioner.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
