2. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.19090 of 2025 is filed to quash the impugned FIR registered for the offences under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 118(1) of BNS, 2023 and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.
3. The petitioners seek to quash two FIRs, which have been registered as case and case in counter.
4. The gist of the allegations in both the cases is that due to a pathway dispute, the petitioners in both the cases attacked each other and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.
5. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the parties have now arrived at a compromise and filed a joint memo of compromise in both the cases.
6. In Crl.O.P.No.19066 of 2025, the petitioners, namely, John Britto @ Sindo Britto (Aadhaar No.9296 3509 0716), Arputharaj (Aadhaar No.7504 8927 3157), Aruljothi (Aadhaar No.6468 7714 9072), 3/6
Roselin (Aadhaar No.8610 9962 9792) and the second respondent / defacto complainant, namely, Jegadeesh (Aadhaar No.6186 6309 5224) are present before this Court in person. The defacto complainant confirmed the compromised arrived at between them.

In Crl.O.P.No.19090 of 2025, the petitioner, namely, Jegadeesh (Aadhaar No.6186 6309 5224) and the respondents 2 to 4 namely, Sindo Britto (Aadhaar No.9296 3509 0716), Aruljothi (Aadhaar No.6468 7714 9072) and Arputham (Aadhaar No.7504 8927 3157) are present before this Court in person. The defacto complainant and two other victims confirmed the compromised arrived at between them.
8. All the parties are identified by Mr.R.Thangapandi, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Ammayanaickanur Police Station, Dindigul District.
9. In view of the same and considering the nature of the allegations and since the defacto complainants themselves do not want to pursue the complaints, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIRs pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIRs in Crime 4/6
Nos.227 and 228 of 2025 dated 18.09.2025 are quashed and the Criminal Original Petitions stand allowed.
10. The petitioners in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.19066 of 2025 shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) and the petitioners in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.19090 of 2025 shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) as costs to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench forthwith and file photocopies of the receipts along with memos, reporting compliance in the Registry. The joint compromise memos dated 31.10.2025 and 03.11.2025 shall form part of this order.
