ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to refer the matter to the competent court for determination of adequate compensation in respect of the petitioner's land in Survey No.24/1A1, measuring an extent of 1250 sq. meters, and Survey No. 55/2A, measuring an extent of 233 sq. meters, situated at Manthikulam Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2023, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

According to the petitioner, she is the lawful owner of land comprised in Survey No.24/1A1 measuring 1250 sq. meters and Survey No.55/2A measuring 233 sq. meters, situated at Manthikulam Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District. The said lands have been acquired/utilized by the respondents for public purpose, but adequate compensation has not been determined in accordance with law. Despite the petitioner submitting a detailed representation dated 02.06.2023 requesting the respondents to make a reference to the competent court for

determination of proper compensation, no action has been taken till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that no proper documents have been filed along with the representation to substantiate the claim made by the petitioner. If the petitioner submits a fresh representation ventilating all her grievances before the respondents, the same will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will file a fresh representation along with the relevant documents within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. In the event of filing a fresh representation along with the necessary documents within the aforesaid time limit, the same shall be considered and disposed of by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to all the parties concerned, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.
