ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent Transport Corporation, seeking a Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the earned leave salary for 195 days surrendered by the petitioner from the year 2011, together with interest at the rate of 6 percent per annum till the date of actual payment to be made by the respondents, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.09.2025.

2. Though the petitioner has retired from service on 31.03.2024, the surrender leave salary has not been disbursed to the writ petitioner, despite giving representation to the respondents on 25.09.2025, for disbursing the said benefits. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to release the eligible surrender leave salary to the writ petitioner along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, from the due date till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 15.10.2025 NCC :Yes/No Index :Yes/No LS TO
