O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate/Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, to complete the trial in C.C.No.1465 of 2024 in connection with Crime No.3 of 2024 and to pronounce the judgment as expeditiously as possible within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The Hon'ble Supreme Court has repeatedly held that there cannot be any direction fixing a time frame for the conclusion of the trial. Admittedly, several older cases are pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate. Hence, the direction as prayed for, seeking fixation of a time limit, cannot be granted. However, the learned Judicial Magistrate shall consider disposal of the trial as expeditiously as possible.

3. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
