Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to remove the illegal installation of Transformer which was erected by the third respondent in petitioner patta land situated at S.No.212/3D Veeramachanpatti Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District in the light of the fifth respondent survey report dated 19.09.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to remove the illegal installation of Transformer which was erected by the third respondent in petitioner's patta land situated at S.No. 212/3D Veeramachanpatti Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District in the light of the fifth respondent survey report dated 19.09.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for R1 to R4 and Mr.D.Sasikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for R5. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The petitioner would submit that without any prior intimation to him, the respondents have proceeded to install High Tension Transformer in his land, despite his objection. Since then he has been making representations to the respondents requesting removal of the transformer. However, the respondents did not take any action on his representations. Hence, he approached this Court by filing this petition.
4. A perusal of the records would show that the petitioner's land has also been surveyed and the report of the revenue authorities would clearly show that the transformer has been installed in the petitioner's patta land, that too without his permission. In view of the same, the third respondent is directed to take steps to shift the transformer from the petitioner's patta land to some other place or take steps to acquire the land on paying compensation to the petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
