Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to give Natham Housing Patta for housing plot in New Survey No.1492/6 and Old Survey No.137/A3-A2 total extent of 6422 square feet in Athoor Village, Athoor Taluk, Dindigul District, based on the petitioner's registered Purchase Deed No.389/2017 dated 24.04.2017 on the file of the 6th respondent/Athoor Sub-Registrar Office in the light of the petitioner's final representation dated 01.09.2023 to the 1st respondent. ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to give Natham Housing Patta for housing plot in New Survey No.1492/6 and Old Survey No.137/A3-A2 total extent of 6422 square feet in Athoor Village, Athoor Taluk, Dindigul District, based 2/6
on the petitioner's registered Purchase Deed No.389/2017 dated 24.04.2017 on the file of the 6th respondent/Athoor Sub-Registrar Office, in the light of the petitioner's final representation dated 01.09.2023 to the 1st respondent.
2. The petitioner gave a representation to the respondents for issuance of patta. Since the said representation has not been considered so far, he has filed the present writ petition seeking the above said relief.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner dated 01.09.2023 is disposed of by the respondents, on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, 6 and 7 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
5. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the respondents are directed to 3/6
consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.09.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, and after conducting proper enquiry, within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
