ORDER

The Civil Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking extension of time to comply with the directions issued by this Court vide judgment and decree, dated 08.05.2025 in S.A(MD)No.418 of 2015. 1/5

2.This Court, recording the undertaking affidavit filed by the appellants, disposed of the appeal vide judgment dated 08.05.2025, directing the appellants to deposit a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- to the credit of O.S.No.25 of 2011 on the file of the Sub Court, Thoothukudi, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of that order. But the petitioners/appellants alleging inability to comply with the order, filed the present petition.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the petitioners may be directed to pay the amount with interest within a period of one month.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the petitioners are directed to comply with the order of this Court, dated 08.05.2025, within one month from today with interest at 12% per annum for Rs.5,00,000/- from 08.05.2025 till date of payment.
