The writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to refix the petitioner's seniority in the cadre of Assistant Engineer as on 06.07.2023, on par with Thiru.V.Srinivasan, in accordance with Memo No.035049/G.17/G.172/2019-6 dated 06.07.2023, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 25.09.2023 and 06.11.2023 and consequently grant all consequential monetary benefits and service benefits, including re-fixation of seniority in the cadre of Assistant Engineer as on 06.07.2023 to the petitioner for the purpose of further promotion within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Even though the petitioner has sought for a positive Mandamus, it is seen that he had made representations on 25.09.2023 and 06.11.2023 2/4

for the very same relief. Hence, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 25.09.2023 and 06.11.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
