ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the impugned FIR in Crime No.841 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent police, which was registered for the offences under Sections 329(4), 296(b), 115(2) and 351(2) of BNS (Corresponding to Sections 448, 294, 323, 506(ii) of IPC). 2.The gist of the allegation in the impugned F.I.R is that on account of prior enmity, the petitioners had trespassed into the shop of the defacto complainant, damaged the articles, attacked him and criminally intimidated him and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the second respondent would submit that the parties have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have also filed a joint compromise memo dated 1010.2025.

4. The petitioners and the defacto complainant / second respondent are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Tmt.Vasanthi, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Panagudi Police Station, Tirunelveli District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5.Considering the nature of the offences and the fact that the parties have arrived at a compromise, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.841 of 2025, on the file of the first respondent police, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 10.10.2025 shall form part of this order.
