This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No. 505 of 2021 on the file of the first Respondent Police. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the accused in Crime No.505 of 2021 for the offence under Section 4 (1)(a) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act (Transport), on the file of the first respondent, for which the punishment is for a period of 3 months imprisonment or with fine. Even though the FIR was registered in the year 2021, till date the final report is not taken on file. It is his further submission that the final report was not laid within the stipulated period as per Section 468 Cr.P.C., 3.The learned Government Advocate concedes that the final report was not filed within the time prescribed under 468 Cr.P.C 4.In the light of the submission of the learned Government Advocate, this Court is of the considered opinion that this is a fit case for quashing of 2/4

the FIR. Hence, the FIR in Crime No.505 of 2021 on the file of the first Respondent Police is hereby quashed against the petitioner. This Criminal Original Petition is allowed, accordingly.
