O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent to renew and issue a passport to the petitioner based upon the request made by the writ petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has been implicated in the following three criminal cases: (i) Crime No.179 of 2022 on the file of the Ayyampettai Police Station, which has culminated in filing of charge sheet before the Additional Mahila Court, Thanjavur, on 29.07.2022. However, the same has not yet been taken on file.

(ii) Crime No.793 of 2024, on the file of the Ayyampettai Police Station, which has culminated in filing of charge sheet in STC No.232 of 2025 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thanjavur. (iii) Crime No.230 of 2025 on the file of the Ayyampettai Police Station, which has culminated in filing of a charge sheet before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thanjavur and the same is yet to be taken on file. 2/5

In view of the above said submissions, the petitioner is directed to approach the Additional Mahila Court, Thanjavur and the Judicial Magistrate Court No.III, Thanjavur, seeking permission of the Courts to go abroad. Based upon the orders passed by the concerned trial Courts, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
