ORDER
The petitioners seek to quash the impugned Charge Sheet in C.C.No.717 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhunagar, which was filed for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324, 325 and 506(ii) of IPC r/w 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act.

2.The gist of the allegation is that on account of previous enmity, the petitioners attacked the defacto complainant with rods and sticks and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the defacto complainant/the second respondent would submit that the parties have now entered into the compromise on the advise of the elders and well-wishers. He would further submit that the defacto complainant and two other victims have also signed a compromise memo. The defacto complainant and one of the victim Ganesan is present in Court and the other victim is now taking treatment in the hospital. Since the defacto complainant is the mother of the other victim, she has confirmed the compromise and both the parties have agreed that the impugned final report may be quashed.

5.The petitioners, namely, Karuppasamy @ White (Aadhaar No. 5842 4489 9269), Ravi (Aadhaar No.9954 0990 1468), Vinothkumar @ Vinoth (Aadhaar No.8183 3106 0553), and the second respondent, namely, Padmavathy(Aadhaar No.9710 1683 6711) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.A.Ramanathan, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Soolakkarai Police Station, Virudhunagar District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.
6.Considering the nature of the offences and the fact that the parties have arrived at a compromise, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned charge sheet pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned charge sheet in C.C.No.717 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhunagar District, is quashed. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- as costs to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. 8/10
