..Respondent Prayer Criminal Original Petition filed Under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the Learned Additional District court,Sivagangai to expedite the trial and dispose the case in S.C.No.104 of 2019 on its file as time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER:- This Criminal Original Petition coming on for orders on this day under the caption 'Extension of Time' and upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 03.06.2024 and direct the Court below to dispose of the Petition in S.C.No.104 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order, and upon requisition letter submitted by the Additional District Court, Sivagangai, vide D.No.119/2025, dated 18.02.2025, 1/4

seeking further time of extension to dispose the Petition in S.C.No.104 of 2019, this Court made the following order:

"The learned Additional District and Sessions Judge(FAC), Additional District Court, Sivagangai by his letter dated 18.02.2025 has sought further time to dispose of the case in S.C. No. 104 of 2019.

2. This Court had already directed the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge(FAC), Sivagangai to dispose of the case in S.C. No. 104 of 2019 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the order. The learned Sessions Judge had stated that the above said order was received by the Court on 04.09.2024 and the time prescribed ends on 04.03.2025. Further the learned Sessions Judge is also holding charge of Family Court, Sivagangai and also holding Full additional charge of Special Court for Special Court for Exclusive trial of cases under SC/ST(PoA)Act, 1989. Further in this case charges were framed, trial expedited and P.W.1 to P.W.22 were examined and the case stands posted to examination of serologist and for examination of remaining witnesses the case stands posted to 20.02.2025, thereby he is not in a position to dispose the case within the time stipulated by this Court.

3. Considering the request made by the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge(FAC), Sivagangai and also considering the facts and circumstances 2/4

of the case, time already granted by this Court to dispose the case in S.C. No. 104 of 2019 is extended by another two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
