(R6 is impleaded as per the order of this Court dated 06.01.2026 vide WMP(MD) No.5735/2024) PRAYER :- Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the Respondents 3 to 5 from cancelling the petitioners assigned Patta No.543 issued for the Government Natham Vacant land of bearing New Survey No.118/58 ( Old Survey No.118/1B), with an extent of 81 Sq.m., Situated at Namachivayapuram, Pulvaikarai (Post) Thiruchuzhi Taluk, Virudhunagar District without following due process of law. This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction forbearing the respondents 3 to 5 from cancelling the petitioner's assigned Patta No.543 issued for the Government Natham Vacant land of bearing New Survey No.118/58 ( Old Survey No.118/1B), with an extent of 81 Sq.m., Situated at Namachivayapuram, Pulvaikarai (Post) Thiruchuzhi Taluk, Virudhunagar District without following due process of law. 2/5
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents and the learned counsel for the private respondent.
3. The petitioner submitted a representation to the official respondents seeking not to cancel the patta assigned to him without due process of law. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the official respondents, submits that since the dispute is between the petitioner and the impleaded respondent and there are two pattas, after conducting enquiry, they were directed to approach the appropriate civil Court.
5. In view of the above submissions, since the dispute is between the petitioner and the impleaded respondent, as per the enquiry conducted by the 2nd respondent, it is for the parties to work their remedy by approaching appropriate civil Court to resolve the dispute. 3/5
6. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observation. There shall be no order as to costs.
