ORDER

The petitioner is a resident of Plot No.27 situated in Sabari Garden and is also the Treasurer of the Association, which has been registered under the provisions of the Registration Act for the welfare of its members.

2. It is stated that out of a total extent of 11 acres of land, a layout was formed and an extent of 1100 sq.ft was earmarked as Open Space Reservation (OSR) land for the purpose of maintaining a park for the benefit of the residents and the general public in the Sabari Garden campus. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said park is not being properly maintained by the respondents and, as a result, the residents are unable to use the 2/5

same. Therefore, the petitioner and other residents submitted a representation seeking permission to clean and maintain the said park so that it can be used by the general public.

3. Considering the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to permit the petitioner and other residents to clean the OSR land measuring an extent of 1100 sq.ft situated in Sabari Garden, Seruvallai Section, Kumarum, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, under the supervision of the third respondent, so as to enable the general public to use the said park. No costs.
