ORDER
The petitioners seek to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.30 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent Police, registered for the offences punishable under Section 296(b), 115(2), 351(3) of BNS, 2023, Section 4 of TNPHW Act and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
2. The allegation in the impugned FIR is that with regard to the money transaction, the petitioners abused the defacto complainant and his wife in filthy language, attacked them and threatened them of dire consequences and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.
3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent were known to each other and they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 06.07.2025.

4. The petitioners and the third respondent, namely, Rajkumar (Aadhaar No.2540 0611 8086) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by the Police officer attached to the second respondent Police. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them. Since the parties have arrived at a compromise, the third respondent had returned a sum of Rs.90,000/- to the Adidravidar Welfare Department.
5. In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.30 of 2025, dated 07.03.2025 on the file of the second respondent Police Station, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo, dated 06.11.2025 shall form part of this order. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) as costs to the High Court Legal Services Authority attached to this Bench forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry.
