COMMON ORDER The Criminal Original Petitions in Crl.O.P.(MD).Nos.17796 of 2025 is filed to quash the final report filed in S.T.C.No.823 of 2025 for the offences under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 351(2) of BNS, 2023. 1.1. The Criminal Original Petition in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.17802 of 2025 is filed to quash the final report in S.T.C.No.1244 of 2025 for the offences under Sections 296(b), 126(2), 115(2), 324(4), 351(2), 191(1) of BNS, 2023 and Section 185 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
2. These Criminal Original Petitions are filed to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.Nos.823 and 1244 of 2025 arising out of two FIRs filed by rival parties that the petitioners in Crl.O.P(MD) No.17802 of 2025 stopped the car of the petitioner in Crl.O.P(MD) No.17796 of 2025 and abused him in filthy language and thus, wordy altercation took place between the petitioners in both the cases and the case and case in counter have been registered.
3. The parties have now arrived at a compromise and had filed a joint compromise memo separately in both cases. The scanned copy of the compromise memo in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.17796 of 2025 reads as follows:

5. The petitioners and the defacto complainants are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.M.Kannan, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Chettinad Police Station, Sivagangai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.
6. In view of the same and considering the nature of the allegations and the compromise arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned final reports pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final reports in S.T.C.Nos.823 and 1244 of 2025 are quashed and the Criminal Original Petitions are allowed. 22.10.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No Indu
