ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.124 of 2022 dated 10.03.2022 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Aranthangi Police Station, Pudukkottai District, insofar as the petitioners are concerned.

2. The case of the prosecution is that due to a wordy quarrel, the petitioners abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and attacked him with beer bottle and iron rod on his head and on his shoulder and thereby, caused grievous head injuries. The petitioners also attacked the defacto complainant's friend one Rajaganapathi with a wooden log on his stomach. Hence, the complaint.

3.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that both the parties have solved the issue amicably and they have also filed a Joint Compromise Memo to that effect. Therefore, he requests 2/4

this Court to quash the FIR based on the compromise memo.

4.

Though the parties have arrived at a compromise, considering the nature of allegations and also considering the fact that the defacto complainant has sustained severe head injuries, this Court is not inclined to quash the FIR in Crime No.124 of 2022 based on the compromise memo filed by the parties.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The petitioners shall work out their remedies before the trial Court.
