O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.12.2023 and to take action towards the petitioner's application for patta transfer involving sub division, dated 24.08.2016, application ID 2016/0105/24/012415, (CAN) 0332321022171.

2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, he has purchased 43 cents of land in Survey No/Sub Division No.118/2A (old), UDR (new) 34/2A and Patta No.668, situated at Velliyangundram Village, Madurai North Taluk, Othakadai Sub Division, Madurai. Thereafter, he has made an application 2/5

before the third respondent on 24.08.2016, for sub division patta transfer. But, no steps have been taken. Hence, the petitioner has made several representations to the third respondent and he has made a last representation to the second respondent on 14.12.2023 and the same is still pending. Therefore, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that they are ready and willing to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.12.2023, seeking for transfer of patta.

Considering the above said submission, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.12.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity to the parties concerned, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
