Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent i.e., the Secretary to Government, Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2025 regarding sanction of annual increment for the period from 01.07.2001 to 07.01.2015 and refixation of pension without further loss of time since he has been suffering monetarily and mentally after his retirement on 30.06.2015. ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2025 regarding sanction of annual increment for the period from 01.07.2001 to 07.01.2015 and refixation of pension without further loss of time since he has been suffering monetarily and mentally after his retirement on 30.06.2015.

2. Even though the petitioner has sought for a positive Mandamus, it is seen that the petitioner has made a representation on 26.07.2025 for the very same relief.
3.In view of the same, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
