ORDER

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner is arrayed as an accused in C.C.No.418 of 2023 on the file of the Court of Judicial Magistrate, Ottanchathiram. The De-facto Complainant is none other than the brother-in-law of the Petitioner. 2.The learned Counsel for the Petitioner further submitted that the de-facto Complainant had given a complaint regarding the physical assault of the de-facto Complainant by the Accused/Petitioner herein, who is the husband of the sister of the de-facto Complainant. Now, after filing of the final report, the parties had arrived at an amicable settlement. Therefore, he seeks to quash the final report laid before the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ottanchathiram in C.C.No.418 of 2023. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) had filed a status report stating that the accused and the de-facto complainant had arrived at a compromise.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on instructions of the Respondent Police would submit that the compromise arrived at between the parties are bonafide.

5.In the light of the joint memo, filed by both the parties through their respective Counsels, the case in C.C.No.418 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ottanchathiram, is hereby quashed. 6.In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. 18.03.2024 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No jbr To 1.The Inspector of Police, Kallimandiayam Police Station, Dindigul District.
