O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent to renew the passport of the writ petitioner.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case on the file of the second respondent police, which has culminated in filing of S.T.C.No.398 of 2022 on the file of the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Boothapandi.

3. In view of the above said submissions, the petitioner is directed to approach the trial Court concerned seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case, if any such application is filed, the learned Judicial Magistrate is directed to dispose of the same within a period of four weeks. Based upon the order passed by the learned District Munsif - cum-Judicial Magistrate, Boothapandi, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
