ORDER

We had referred the matter to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre and a report has been made with the following endorsement:

''The detenu stated that she is confusing regarding going along with petitioner or husband''.

2. Today, the petitioner and his wife and also the detenue are present. Further the named individual in the affidavit, Dhanush and his mother are also present.

3. Though the petitioner and his wife sought an opportunity to talk to the detenue alone, the detenue had refused and was adamant and she stated that she would only go with the said Dhanush. She is at an age to take a decision on her own. It is seen 2/4

that notice under Section 7(1) of the Special Marriages Act has been issued from the Sub Registrar Office for intention to marry.

4. Since the detenue has taken a firm decision in this regard, no further orders are required.

5.The Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
