Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1,2 and 3 to settle petitioners surrender leave salary so far not given by the Respondent Corporation for 115 days for the value of Rs. 1,18,584.00 (Rupees One Lakh Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty Four Only) in respect of the years 2011 to 2019 together with interest at the rate of 18 percent per annum payable from the date for retirement to till the date of actual payment. 1/4

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents 1,2 and 3 to settle petitioners surrender leave salary so far not given by the Respondent Corporation for 115 days for the value of Rs. 1,18,584.00 (Rupees One Lakh Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty Four Only) in respect of the years 2011 to 2019 together with interest at the rate of 18 percent per annum payable from the date for retirement to till the date of actual payment.

2. Though the petitioner has retired from service on 31.12.2023, the surrender leave salary has not been disbursed to the writ petitioner, despite giving representation to the respondents on 10.09.2025, for disbursing the said benefits. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to release the eligible surrender leave salary to the writ petitioner along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, from the due date till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 24.10.2025 1/2 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes gvn 3/4
