Prayer:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of CERTIORARIFIED MANDAMUS, by calling for the records pertaining to the impugned orders passed by the 1st respondent in his proceedings in Muu.Mu.No.2048/E1/2021 dated 11.10.2021 to set aside and quash the same as illegal and consequently directing the 2nd respondent to remove the entry made in the encumbrance certificate and further direct them to register any further documents belonging to the petitioners with respect of S.No.2/5B Pudhur Village, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Thiruppuvanam Sub-Registrar, Sivangangai District.

ORDER

This writ petition was disposed of by this Court on 17.04.2026. At the request of the learned counsel for the writ petitioners, the matter was posted under the caption "for being mentioned".

Registry is directed to issue a revised copy in the following terms:- "ORDER The writ petitioners had individually purchased the plots of land from one Kesavan under document Nos.1261/2021, 1268/2021, 1711/2021, 1727/2021 and 1728/2021. For taking action on the ground that these documents have been illegally registered, one Dhanasekaran filed an appeal before the District Registrar, Sivagangai. The District Regstrar, Sivagangai vide proceedings dated 11.10.2021 directed that the registration of the documents in question were in breach of Section 22A of the Registration Act and it was directed that further registration of the documents in respect of the said properties should not be registered.

2. Challenging the same, this writ petition has been filed.

3. The scope and contours of the said provision have been delineated at length vide order dated 17.04.2026 in WP(MD)No. 29522 of 2025. Since the documents have already been released and the restriction is only regarding registration of future documents, as and when they are presented, the registering 3/4

officer shall take a decision in the light of the law laid down by this Court vide order dated 17.04.2025 in W.P.(MD)No.29522 of 2025 and after notice to Sri.Dhanasekaran. With the aforesaid direction to the registering officer, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs."
