PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to correct the wrong entry of the surplus land in the revenue records in respect of the survey number 257/1 to the extent of 6.57.00 Hectares in Patta number 20 situated at Thottakudi Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 11.09.2025 within a time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

By asserting that an error was committed in the revenue records in relation to the land in S.No.257/1, the petitioner had submitted a representation for correction thereof on 11.09.2025. The present writ petition relates thereto.

2. Learned Government Advocate submits that the inquiry is ongoing and that orders would be issued on merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. In view of the above submissions, without making any observations on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders thereon merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
