Respondent(s) PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd and 4th Respondents to survey the land and to fix the four boundaries by measuring the lands in Survey No.38/9B owned and possessed by petitioners principal who is none other than petitioners father on whose name all revenue records and Patta No.1929 stands in Survey No.38/9B located at Thiruvadanai Taluk, Thalirmarungur group, Ramanathapuram District on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 14.08.2025 and also by perusing the online application No.2025/0123/27/007409 dated 19.08.2025 submitted by paying a fee of Rs.860/- to the 3rd and 4th Respondents along with necessary police protection from the fifth respondent.

This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 3 and 4 to survey the land and fix the four boundaries of the property in Survey No. 38/9B, which is owned and 2/6
possessed by the petitioner's principal, namely, the petitioner's father, in whose name the revenue records and Patta No. 1929 stand, situated in Thiruvadanai Taluk, Thalirmarungur Group, Ramanathapuram District. The petitioner also seeks consideration of his representation dated 14.08.2025 along with the online application No. 2025/0123/27/007409 dated 19.08.2025 submitted on payment of a fee of Rs. 860/-, and further requests that the survey be carried out with necessary police protection from the fifth respondent.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that a representation dated 14.08.2025 has been made for survey and demarcation of the boundaries of the subject property.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submits that after considering the claims of all parties, proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

In view of the above, this Court directs the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 14.08.2025 for survey and demarcation on merits and in accordance with law. Notice shall be issued to the petitioner, respondents 6 to 10 and the owners of relevant adjacent lands and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
