O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent to re-issue the passport of the petitioner based upon his application dated 20.08.2024.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that two cases are pending as against the petitioner in C.C.No.174 of 2023 and C.C.No.111 of 2024 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Pudukkottai, for the offences under Sections 6(4) of TNSC (RDCS) Order 1982 r/w. 7(i)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955.

3. In view of the above said submissions, the petitioner is directed to approach the trial Court concerned seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case, if any such application is filed, the learned Judicial Magistrate is directed to dispose of the same within a period of four weeks. Based upon the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pudukkottai, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law. 2/4

4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
