ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 329(4), 75, 296(b), 109, 351(3) of BNS, 2023, and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, in Crime No.979 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that, due to previous enmity, the petitioner trespassed into the house of the defacto complainant, pulled the hand of the defacto complainant's sister-in-law, attempted to misbehave with her, assaulted the defacto complainant and his sister, and abused them in filthy language. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that the petitioner trespassed into the house of the defacto complainant, pulled the hand of the defacto complainant's sister-in-law, attempted to misbehave with her, assaulted the defacto complainant and his sister, and abused them in filthy language. Therefore, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and on perusal of the FIR as well as the nature of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. (S S Y J) 28.10.2025 jbr 3/5
