Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to initiate appropriate action against the respondents 4 to 26 to recover the loss of the Manapparai Municipality to the tune of Rs.22, 97,412.00 as stated in the audit report of the Manapparai Municipality for the year 2003 - 2004.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.SUDHAKAR,J.) This writ petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to initiate appropriate action against the respondents 4 to 26 to recover the loss made in Manapparai Municipality to the tune of Rs.22, 97,412.00 as stated in the audit report of the Manapparai Municipality for the year 2003 - 2004.
2.Though the petitioner has sought for the relief as above, the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner on 26.08.2011 may be directed to be considered by the second respondent.
3. Accordingly, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, the second respondent is directed to verify the nature of the complaint made by the petitioner and consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.08.2011 on its own merit and in accordance with law. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the authority concerned is free to deal with the matter on its own merit as per law.
4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
