Heard both sides.

2. The writ petitioner got married to one Lakshmi. A girl child namely, Nagamani was born on 05.03.1993 at Ramarajapuram Village, Nilakottai Taluk. The petitioner failed to register her birth. The petitioner now seeks to belatedly register the same.

3. It is the Revenue Divisional Officer, Nilakottai who is the jurisdictional authority. The petitioner has already obtained non-availability certificate from the Sub Registrar, Vadipatti. The petitioner has also given an application before the second respondent. The petitioner has enclosed the mark sheet of his child in the typed set of papers. I am satisfied that Nagamani is very much the writ petitioner's child and who was born on 05.03.1993 and that he failed to register the same. The second respondent is directed to issue birth certificate as sought for by the writ petitioner immediately. This writ petition stands allowed.
