O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2025 and consequently to provide necessary police protection for conducting the Sri Valli Thirumanam drama at Arulmigu Sri Dharmapullani Ayyanar Temple, Kattambur Village, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District, on 17.10.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first to fourth respondents would submit that, admittedly, there are disputes between the petitioner and the fifth respondent with regard to the conduct of the cultural programme; that unless all the villagers agree to conduct the programme jointly, the request of the petitioner cannot be considered; and that an enquiry was conducted on 08.10.2025, and since Page No. 2 of 5

the fifth respondent objected to the conduct of the cultural programme by the petitioner, the permission sought by the petitioner was rejected.

3. In the light of the submissions, this Court is of the view that there cannot be any direction to the third respondent to grant permission for conducting the programme as prayed for by the petitioner. The third respondent is directed to communicate the result of the enquiry to the petitioner forthwith.

4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
