ORDER

The petitioner seeks to punish the respondent for willful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 06.12.2024 in W.P.(MD).No.29309 of 2024. 1/4

2. In the said order, this Court had observed as follows: "4. In view of the above, the petitioner to appear before the respondent police on 13.12.2024 for enquiry. The respondent police shall ensure the presence of private respondents and conclude the investigation, without any further delay."

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the enquiry would completed within a period of two weeks.

4. Since there is no specific time limit fixed by this Court, the respondent cannot be punished for contempt. Hence, the Contempt Petition is closed with direction to the respondent to conclude the enquiry within a period of two (2) weeks from today. The presence of the respondent/contemnor is dispensed with. If the respondent fails to comply with the above direction, it would amount to contempt of this Court.

5. Post the matter after two weeks 'for reporting compliance'. 18.11.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No Lm 2/4
