By this Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks the expedited conclusion of the inquiry proceedings pending before the second respondent.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner invited my attention to the order dated 26.04.2024 in W.P.(MD) No.23123 of 2021 setting aside the earlier order dated 24.11.2021 of the District Revenue Officer and remanding the matter for reconsideration. In spite of issuing two notices in relation to the inquiry, she submits that proceedings have not been concluded till date.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that a speaking order would be issued 2/5

within four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to all parties concerned.

4. The petitioner had arrayed the legal heirs of G.Kesavan in the earlier Writ Petition. Although the said parties have not been joined as respondents herein, it is necessary that they be provided a reasonable opportunity before the District Revenue Officer issues an order.

5. Subject to the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the District Revenue Officer to pass orders on merits on the petitioner's representation within four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to all the parties concerned. No costs.
