This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.07.2025 and consequently, to direct the third respondent to take necessary steps to remove the erroneously added names of respondents 4 to 8 in the combined Patta bearing No.1396 pertaining to Old Survey No. 176/1A1A and New Survey No. 366/7 of Vallam North Village, Thanjavur District, dated 15.11.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the third respondent will consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation in accordance with law. 4.In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the third respondents to consider and dispose of the representation dated 25.07.2025 after conducting an inquiry, which shall include issuing notice to the petitioner, respondents 4 to 8, the joint pattadhars and any other persons who may be affected, and considering any objections submitted by them. The third respondent shall thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the same shall be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs.
