PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to conduct a proper survey of the petitioner's land bearing Survey Nos.673/1C2, 673/2B3, 673/4B3A, 673/5B, and 674/2A, situated at Vadamadurai Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District, and to fix the four boundaries as per the revenue records, based on the petitioner's application vide Application No. 2025/0123/13/015876 dated 25.09.2025, and further direct the 3rd respondent to provide adequate police protection as sought in the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2025, within a time limit that may be stipulated by this court. 1/5

ORDER

By relying on settlement deed dated 15.04.2021 and patta No.7052 in the name of the petitioner's husband Gurusamy, the petitioner had submitted an online application on 25.09.2025 for survey of land in S.Nos.673/1C2, 673/2B3, 673/4B3A, 673/5B and 674/2A.

2. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and learned Government Advocate(crl.side) accepts notice for the respondent 3. Learned Government Advocate submits that the petitioner's application would be acted upon after issuing notice to owners of relevant adjacent lands.

3. The petitioner has placed on record patta No.7052 in respect of S.No. 673/1C2, 673/2B3, 673/4B3A, 673/5B and 674/2A. The settlement deed 2/5

appears to cover all the survey numbers mentioned in the writ petition. In these circumstances, a case is made out to consider the petitioner's application.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first and second respondents to conduct an inquiry pursuant to the petitioner's application by issuing notice to owners of relevant adjacent lands and considering objections, if any, from them. The entire process shall be concluded within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If necessary, the revenue officials may take the assistance of the jurisdictional police. No costs.
