ORDER

The petitioner seeking a direction to the first respondent to issue appropriate direction to the second respondent to not to harass the petitioners by forcing them to marry the third respondent, based on his representation dated 13.10.2025.

2. The gist of the complaint given by the petitioner is that the first petitioner and the third respondent had developed a love affair, after knowing to each other through Instagram; that first petitioner had promised to marry the third respondent; that they were living together even before the marriage and that thereafter, the first petitioner and his parents are refusing to conduct the marriage of the first petitioner with the third respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that based on an earlier complaint given by the third 2/5

respondent, an enquiry was conducted and the same was closed stating that the offences are not made out and that now the third respondent has sent a fresh representation on 13.10.2025.

4. It is needless to say that the respondent police shall not interfere in any complaint unless it discloses any cognizable offences and they cannot entertain repeated representation of the third respondent. If the third respondent is aggrieved in the decision taken by the respondent police, it is open to her to challenge the same in accordance with law.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
