O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus as against the first respondent for re-issuance of passport to the petitioner based upon his application dated 18.09.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Crime No.71 of 2023 on the file of the second respondent, which has culminated in filing of a charge sheet before the learned Additional District Judge, Special Court under Essential Commodities Act, Thanjavur on 04.12.2025. However, so far charge sheet has not been taken on file.

3. In view of the above said submissions, the petitioner is directed to approach the trial Court concerned seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case, if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks. Based upon the order passed by the learned Additional District Judge, Special Court under Essential Commodities Act, Thanjavur, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law. 2/4

4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
