Prayer:Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent Joint Director to disburse the salary and arrears of salary admissible to the petitioner in the post of Assistant Professor (Level 12) w.e.f. 01.08.2018 and Associate Professor (Level 13A) w.e.f. 07.09.2020 and 06.09.2020 in the 4th respondent college with all attendant consequential benefits, within a reasonable time. For Petitioner : Mr.K.Ragatheesh Kumar For Respondents : Mr.M.Sarangan, Additional Government Pleader in all WPs 2/5

COMMON ORDER The petitioners are working as Associate Professors in the 4th respondent college. They claim that they are eligible for career advancement scheme and also the benefits under the scheme. The same has been approved by the Joint Director / 3rd respondent for two levels. However, the monetary benefits are not yet provided Therefore, the petitioners have filed these writ petitions seeking a mandamus to respondents to provide the monetary benefits. 2.When these writ petitions are taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on written instructions submits that the petitioners are entitled for career advance scheme and it has also been recommended by the Joint Director to the 1st respondent / Government on 14.11.2023 and the Government is yet to pass orders.

3.This court has considered the rival submissions. 3/5

4.Since the 3rd respondent had already made his recommendation in the year 2023 itself, the 1st respondent shall consider the recommendation dated 14.11.2023 made by the 3rd respondent and pass suitable orders as expeditiously as possible within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
